Michelle Lee Rutledge is an associate with Donahue Gallagher Woods LLP. She is a member of the firm’s civil litigation practice group. Ms. Rutledge received her law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2003. While in law school, she served as a member of the Hastings Women’s Law Journal and received Witkin Awards for Academic Excellence in Trial Advocacy and Legal Writing and Research. She also served as an extern to the Honorable Leslie Tchaikovsky in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California and as an intern with the California Attorney General’s Office in the Appeals, Writs and Trials Section of the Criminal Division. Ms. Rutledge graduated with honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law & Society and a Minor in Philosophy. During college, she counseled low-income clients on legal matters as an intern with Channel Counties Legal Services Association and volunteered with The Good Hearted People assisting homeless and low-income persons to obtain employment. Ms. Rutledge has also handled pro bono cases for Bay Area Legal Aid and served as a volunteer attorney for the San Mateo County Office of the Family Law Facilitator.
