Daniel J. Schacht is an associate with Donahue Gallagher Woods LLP. He is a member of the firm's business and corporate, litigation, and intellectual property practice groups. Mr. Schacht has represented clients at trial, settlement conferences, and hearings in such matters as evictions, employment disputes, general business litigation, and trademark licensing.

Mr. Schacht earned his law degree from the University of California at Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall) in 2008. During law school, he served as a member of the Berkeley Technology Law Journal and was president of both Parents at Boalt and the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. Mr. Schacht received the American Jurisprudence Award as the top student in his IP in Entertainment class. He also advocated on behalf of low-income tenants for the East Bay Community Law Center and continues to volunteer for EBCLC's Low-Income Eviction Project.

Mr. Schacht is a member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of California and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction from Cornell University, spent his junior year at the Universität Hamburg, and is fluent in German. Before law school, Mr. Schacht worked in the music industry as a bassist, sound engineer, studio owner, and producer.
