Donahue Gallagher is proud to announce that the firm has been selected as the 2007 recipient of the State Bar President’s Pro Bono Award in the medium-sized law firm category. This is a statewide award, given to only one law firm each year. In evaluating nominations, the State Bar considers factors such as the breadth and impact of the firm’s pro bono work, the nature and extent of services rendered, and the firm’s historical and continuing commitment to pro bono work.
For the statistically inclined, DGW provided 522 hours of pro bono legal services to indigent clients in 2006. The legal work ran the gamut of the firm’s practice and included 21 attorneys and legal assistants. Chief Justice Ronald George will present the award at the State Bar Annual Meeting in September.
